Brasserie Irma was opened in July 2020 on the periphery of Lake Annecy. Our wish is to offer you a joyful moment in beige and blue colored restaurant, with soothing and reassuring tones. Enjoy a culinary journey where you can also stop by our fine grocery store and discover Paul Bocuse products.
On sunny days, you can enjoy the beautiful and large patio of our restaurant in Annecy to gather with friends or family for a gourmet lunch or dinner. The breathtaking view on the lake is the promise of an out of time moment.
Located in Annecy, this restaurant is an unmissable and historical place for the family of Monsieur Paul, since it is where Irma, the mother of Paul Bocuse, was born and raised.
A gourmet cuisine by the lake
Indulge yourself for a moment by tasting the dishes created by Chef Claudel and his brigade in our restaurant by the Lake Annecy. Our teams create dishes with fresh and local products which are promoted and inspired for each recipe fish from the lake wines from Savoy... Fishes from the lake, wines from the Savoy and all the other fresh and local products are the inspiration of our chefs as they create the dishes making them refreshingly and mesmerizing.
The Chef's suggestions? The pike quenelle and the Milanese veal along with a famous dish gratin from Lyon. To be enjoyed indoors or, on sunny days, on the terrace of our restaurant in Annecy.
The Chef of the Irma Brasserie
With more than twenty-five years of experience, Chef Frédéric Claudel has built his career within some of the great names of French gastronomy. Trained in the culinary arts, he developed early on a strong commitment to flavor and professional rigor that would guide his entire career.
Over the years, the Chef gained extensive experience in prestigious establishments in Paris and across France, such as the Ritz, Shangri-La, Fauchon, and Senderens, where he refined his vision of cuisine, ingredients, and teamwork. He later held Executive Chef positions, particularly during the opening of restaurants and hotels, standing out for his ability to structure teams, design seasonal menus, and pass on his expertise.
Today, Chef Frédéric Claudel leads the kitchens of Brasserie Irma, our lakeside restaurant in Annecy. There, he offers a sincere, elegant, and generous cuisine in harmony with the spirit of Irma: a welcoming brasserie devoted to the pleasure of sharing, the quality of ingredients, and the authenticity of the moment.
The Manager of Brasserie Irma
At the helm of Brasserie Irma, Yvan Charvet embodies excellence in service, professional rigor, and the spirit of conviviality that define the signature of the Maisons Bocuse. An experienced Manager deeply committed to the House, he works every day to deliver an authentic experience, faithful to the values of Lyonnais hospitality.
His journey within the Maisons Bocuse reflects long-standing loyalty and dedication. He joined Brasserie Le Sud in March 2008 as a Chef de Rang, where he developed a strong mastery of service and guest relations. In 2013, he moved to Brasserie Le Nord as Assistant Manager, further strengthening his skills in management and team coordination.
In April 2016, Yvan Charvet was appointed Manager of Brasserie Le Nord, a position he held with both high standards and benevolence, guiding his teams in passing on the Bocuse know-how and heritage. Since October 1st, 2022, he has been Manager of Brasserie Irma, where he brings his experience to a contemporary House while fully respecting the DNA and standards of the Maisons Bocuse.
