A typical Lyon’s restaurant

The Brasserie Le Nord, a typical Lyon restaurant, will carry you back to another world with its old-fashioned decoration, its wooded tones and its magnefic chandeliers and stained glass windows.

Established in 1994, the first Bocuse brasserie and one of our must-see restaurants is  based in the heart of Lyon, near the Palais de la Bourse and the Opera of Lyon. This traditional restaurant marks the beginning of the Brasseries and Restaurants whose success has grown tremendously since then.

A traditional cuisine

Our restaurant based in the 2nd district of Lyon reinterprets the major classics of traditional Lyonnaise cuisine. You will be able to discover dishes made of local good quality products. As Monsieur Paul liked them, authentic and generous dishes.

The signature courses at Brasserie Le Nord ? The pike Quenelle and calf's liver.

For the most special events such as Christmas, New Year's Eve, Easter or Mother's Day, Brasserie Le Nord suggests a special menu to suit each event. This Brasserie as well as all our restaurants is open on every Monday, Sunday and public holiday.

The chef of the Brasserie du Nord

Passionate from an early age about the art of cooking, Chef Rémi Denis obtained a VTC (Vocational Training Certificate) in cooking at the Domaine de Clairefontaine when he was a youth. At the age 18, he  integrated  a gastronomic restaurant as a commis in Ardèche, then worked for 4 years in Corsica during the summer and in Val-d'Isère in winter. He finally joined "La Villa Calvi" in Corsica, after years of instructive and enlightening training.

After these beautiful years, Chef Denis returned to Condrieu, his home town, and began working in a gastronomic restaurant in Annecy for 5 years with experienced chefs.

Finally he joined the Bocuse group in 2015 as first chef de partie at the Brasserie L'Ouest for two years, then junior second, sous-chef and now is the Chef at the Brasserie Le Nord.
